Using technology to ease a personal affair.

As the bot market has passed the stage of hype and started to mature, many people realize that Chatbots are not going to replace Apps anytime soon.

For one week we created and launched one chatbot per day on Facebook Messenger. All of them are pretty stupid, but we still learned something from it. At K2 agency we are a great believers that conversational interfaces are the future and will be very important in the coming years.

When I started designing chatbots for BEEVA almost a year ago, I applied some of my UX knowledge and did some unsuccessful research looking for tools that could fit my needs. Actually, I was quite amazed that I couldn't find practical literature about the topic.

When designing a product for the web or mobile world, we usually operate within certain types of interactions and user interface elements - text fields, forms, buttons, checkboxes, or switches, for example. In the chatbot world, the interface elements are different.

For the past year we were working on a concept of conversational interface for an online banking system that we called K2 Bank. This past weekend, my friends and I released Emoji Salad as part of the first annual Emojicon. Emoji Salad is an SMS-based chatbot game, which allows you and your friends to play a Pictionary-style game using emoji. If you haven't checked it out, please check it out here .
